We've been at Generations Crossing for 2 years now and the teachers there take care of our kids as if they were their own. I am so happy with the education, activities, and support we get and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for childcare! Huge bonus is they provide the food so I have one less thing to worry about every day which makes life just that much easier!

Generations Crossing is a unique and special community nestled in the Shenandoah Mountains. This beautiful, stimulating, loving and compassionate community provides Adult Day Services and Childcare Services (infants to kindergarten) under the same roof! The supportive and dedicated teachers, health care professionals, staff and volunteers invite social, physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being for all participants. It is an honor to serve and connect the generations through Inter-generational Music Therapy Programs to facilitate academic development, learning and maintain the highest level of independence for all participants. Highly recommend you check out this Lovely and Loving community!

We have had two children at Generations Crossing for over four years. Our younger started when she was a year old, and she will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Our older started when he was four, and currently attends Generations Crossing full time during the summer and after-school during the school year (Peak View and Cub Run both send a bus to Generations Crossing). The center is also prepared for school age children on days when the public schools have scheduled or unscheduled closings (and rarely closes for weather itself). We are expecting a third child, and she will begin attending when she is about twelve weeks old. The teachers at Generations Crossing always seem genuinely excited to be with the kids, and we feel that our kids receive excellent care. Starting with the four year class, the staff make a real effort to start preparing the kids for kindergarten. Our oldest was more than prepared for kindergarten, and despite the fact that our younger will not be turning five until just before the start of school, we feel that she will be fully prepared. As with any group of children, there are occasionally conflicts between the kids. But the Generations Crossing staff is always eager to resolve such situations, and we have never been disappointed with their response. We really appreciate the opportunities that our kids have to interact with the adults that are cared for at Generations Crossing. Some kids can be uncomfortable around older people, and it's great for our kids to discover how wonderful the elderly actually are. Finally, I appreciate the fact that Generations Crossing has a Parent Volunteer Committee, which strives to provide parents with opportunities to be involved with the center.

We could not ask for a better place to take our girls everyday! The staff is so wonderful and caring! Hands down, it is the best child care center in town.
