I am so disappointed in the care my inlaws are receiving and they have only been there since Thursday. She was on a bed pan over 45 minutes waiting while the person who put her on the bed pan gave someone else a bath. This happened again a few days later. Both my father in law and mother in law waited over 30 minutes for someone to help them to the bathroom and they both had an accident. They do not have most of their personal belongings since they are locked up somewhere and might get some of their things on Monday. Someone lost the hose to his night time breathing apparatus. I could go on and on. Other family members have visited them and they are also very upset. I call on the phone and no one answers the phone or I am told someone else needs the phone. After investigating I was told that a resident has been answering the phone and not letting me talk to them. My father in law was sick with diarhea fro several days and the day shift nurse never knew it. Apparently the person who helped him in the bathroom never told anyone. I was told by a night shift nurse and by Robyn that the day shift nurse would call be because I as concerned about his condition and no one ever called. I asked for the doctor to call me and the night shift nurse told me he wold not call anyone but the day shift nurse would call. I never received a call. They were moved to Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown and they already have received more attention and better care in 3 hours than they did in a couple of weeks at Parkhouse.

This place Parkhouse has bedbugs on the 8fl first in room 807 as of 12/29 room 818 has them all this place do is move the resident To another floor this place is dirty poor residents do Not get the proper care Do to lack of staff are overloaded with work please do not put your family member in this place also two residents have in Parkhouse have inappropriately expose their self and even went as far as touching another resident private area It was reported by staff numerous of times And nothing is done.

I just wanted to send an email telling you about a visit experience I had at a senior facility/rehab for my mother. My mom has been ill for awhile now and we are in the process of finding a facility that can take her possibly long term and that accepts Medicaid. We had an appointment to visit this facility for 11am yesterday. We arrived around 10:50 and stated to the front desk that we were there. The woman came out from her office and shouted from about 10-15 feet away for us. We acknowledged her and she said "over here". So we proceed to where she was and she had met us in a conference room. (I was already starting to feel that we were interrupting her.) She does not introduce herself or ask our names. She immediately starts filling out a form and then gets irritated that we didn't have an answer she needed. I was thinking of the answer when she abruptly said "we need these dates"! I replied, "I'm working on it. Trying to go over it in my head." Then she asks if we need short term or long term. We explained that we are not sure as it depends on the status as it gets closer. So she decided to only show us short term. "No need to see it all if you don't know if you need it." So at this point I am getting FURIOUS and I have to try and control myself. And it gets worse! As we are walking (very fast I might add) she is about 10 feet ahead and talking with her back to us and only looking over her shoulder. I said at one point "I can't hear you" and she just shouted louder! When the visit was over, she walked back to her office and said "the exit is over there to your left." She didn't walk us over to the door, never shook our hands, didn't say thank you and I don't think she ever even made eye contact! I don't even recall her name! When we made the appointment we were told that a typical visit is about 30 minutes give or take. We were done and back in our car within 10-15 minutes! As we were leaving I kindly said to the lady at their front desk "If you want clients you better hope they don't get her for a visit. She was abrupt and seemed we were disturbing her." I added "I know for a fact that you will not get my business just from my first impression!" I was so agitated the rest of the day I kept saying to my sister "I'm really pissed at that woman!" Even my 15 year old daughter who was with us was very upset with the visit! They need to re-evaluate their administrating staff!

The short term rehab part of the facility is pretty good. The staff is professional and seem to stay on top of things. Both of my parents have used it and they both hold it in high regard. My mother was a Nurse with many years of institutional experience and she was impressed with the level of care. Would recommend it to anyone. The long term care part would have to be another review.............
