We couldn't be happier with the care that our mother received at Copper Ridge! Every single staff member was responsive to mom's needs, kind, supportive, and went out of his or her way to help us.

If I had a choice I would give less than one star. My loved one saw Dr. Absar at the Memory Clinic for a diagnosis. She was very good, so we decided when he needed to move to assisted living that this would be the place for him. We put him in "respite" care so that we could try him there and see how he did. He did not get much attention at all. Because he was able to do some things for himself, he was not checked on except to be told when food was ready - no one checked on him between meals. (We visited him every day) He did not get bathed, his clothes were not changed one time for 3 days in a row! Nurses and caregivers are stretched so thin that if you need to talk to someone, there is no one to be found. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. If your loved one is at the point of needing to be dressed, put in a diaper and rolled out to be put in front of the TV for the day, then this is the place for you....otherwise, HORRIBLE CARE!! Also, they charge over $10,000 a month for this "Golden Standard" of care. DISGRACEFUL......

My mother has been a resident of Copper Ridge for over 2 years now. I can't say enough about the care she has received. The staff is wonderful and they treat her like family. Regardless of when I stop in for a visit, she is always well cared for... oftentimes in group activities...and never alone. Highly recommended.

We stopped in for a tour for our mom early in 2017. She's elderly with dementia, and has additional problems with reactions to medications. We spoke (very briefly) with a woman who gave us information about the facility, and we explained that mom has problems with hallucinations and odd behavior while on antibiotics, which is common in seniors. We explained that, coming right out of a hospital, she was currently on antibiotics and fighting an infection on top of it all. The woman told us our mother would be sent by them to a psychiatric facility in Baltimore until her reactions subsided. My sister and I walked out immediately. I would never endorse this facility for any family who has a loved one with dementia.

This is an incredible residence for folks with Alzheimer's. The staff is dedicated, compassionate, and skill. The leadership chooses best practices based on scientific findings, and is advised by researchers at the affiliated Copper Ridge Institute and Johns Hopkins University.
