Wonderful facility! The caring staff at Somerford Place of Stockton came into my life at the perfect time. The genuine support and care helped me make one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make regarding my mother's care. The facility is always clean and well managed. My mother is very well cared for and she easily adjusted well to her new home. Thank you Peggy, and Leslie for showing me so much support from my first inquiry about an opening. Thank you Teresa for the photos you would send me during the day while I was at work letting me know at just the right time that my mother was fine when my guilt was starting to get the best of me. Somerford Place of Stockton will always hold a special place in my heart for the all the love and care they have shown my mother and my family.

This home takes wonderful care of my Mother. I know she is safe and happy and I don't worry about her like I have when she lived at another facility. The caregivers and staff at Somerford are so loving and caring. They are approachable and patient with any questions or concerns I may have. Also, they have all been working at Somerford for a long time and you can tell they enjoy their jobs and love the residents. If you are considering placing your loved one here, i totally recommend it!!

Somerford Place Stockton has been the best place for my mom. It is a small community for care, and I visit my mom there everyday. The staff and the residents are viewed as one big family. Many staff members have been with Somerford Place since the opening date. I feel my mom is safe knowing she is with her "family" members. The staff is courteous, thoughtful, and joyful. The staff has always been helpful in accommodating my mom's needs. The community is always clean due to the staff maintaining it for all residents at all different levels. They have a great activity program as well as a wonderful dining experience everyday and is enjoyed by my mom. I would recommend the care of this community to other families for the care of a loved one.

Kurt Johnson Both of my parents were in residence at Somerford for nearly three years. I wish that I could give more stars as an expression of my gratitude for the care that they received. The staff was amazing. My father received palliative care which was coordinated with the Hospice of San Joaquin. When special needs arose, they were quickly resolved. Both of my parents felt very comfortable living there. My Mom especially enjoyed the numerous activities provided for the residents. I have high regard for the leadership at Somerford Place. They are engaged, attentive, and superb in dealing with the difficult issues of memory care and palliative care. Special kudos go to the director for her people skills and the great staff that she has hired.

My grandparents lived here for several years. While the customer service and social worker end of things is lovely, the actual caregivers have some issues. Want to keep in touch with your relatives? Answering the phone is a major issue for staff. Want your relatives to have nutritious meals in a place where no one steals their food? We've witnessed some insidious things that are just not okay around mealtimes. Want your dying grandfather to be pain free and comfortable? It only happens if you are closely supervising procedures and advocating for their care. Seriously, keep a eye out. Overall, there is an institutional feeling of passive sitting back and letting whatever happens happen due to lack of supervision, inertia or integrity. Not a fan.
