Utah Adult Day Care Information
Adult day care, in Utah, is defined as continuous care and supervision, for three or more adults 18 years of age and older. Adult day care can be provided for at least four hours a day, but less than 24 hours a day. Such programs must meet the needs of functionally impaired adults in a protective setting through a comprehensive program that provides a variety of health, social, recreational, and related support services. Adult day care is regulated throughout the state through the Office of Licensing in the Utah Department of Human Services under state Administrative Rule R501-13, Adult Day Care.
